Training for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Have you felt called to serve the Lord and our parish community as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion? Because Extraordinary Ministers assist in the distribution of the Eucharist, the Church requires that those who serve be fully initiated Catholics whose lives are in conformity with the teachings of the Catholic faith. In accordance with Archdiocesan guidelines, applicants will be asked to provide copies of their Confirmation certificate and, if married, their Sacramental Marriage certificate. Those who are new and renewing to this ministry should complete the EM Interview Form before attending a training session to establish eligibility. For additional information or to submit certificate copies, please contact Robin, em@saintlaw.org. All candidates must complete the required training and formation program before being commissioned to serve. Extraordinary Ministers are commissioned for service within their own parish and may not exercise this ministry in other parishes or institutions. The LAST training date (currently scheduled) is Monday, August 24, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Additional dates will be scheduled early next year.

Join other mothers on the
second Thursday
of each month from 1:00–2:00 PM, starting September 10, in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel at St. Lawrence Catholic Church,
as we pray to grow in holiness and humility and for the faithful return of our children to the Catholic Church. Questions or RSVP with Pam at
svdp@saintlaw.org.
Please note that the meeting includes vocal prayer, so the chapel will not be quiet during this hour. If you are planning a time of silent prayer, we kindly ask that you visit the chapel before or after the meeting. For more information, visit www.millionsofmonicas.com.

Love your Neighbor. Live Vincentian.
Feed. Clothe. House. Heal.
Have you ever wondered about the St. Vincent de Paul ministry? We are not just a bill paying organization. Vincentians live where they serve—we show up personally. Through home visits and real relationships, we deliver one-on-one care tailored to each neighbor’s unique situation.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul's motto is “No work of charity is foreign to the society.” Whether it’s rent, food, medicine, clothing,
or simply being present, we say yes to serving wherever we’re needed. Our work is a vocation of compassion—grounded in faith and dignity. We walk with our neighbors, offering personal care and support in hard times. Being a part of this ministry is not just volunteering. This isn’t just about what we do. It’s about who we become. Serving others deepens our faith and helps us grow in holiness. That’s the real Vincentian journey.
Thank you for supporting this ministry with your monthly donation. If you want to learn more please reach out or join us at a monthly meeting. Questions email svdp@saintlaw.org
Come Lift Your Voice in Praise!
It's not too late to join the St. Lawrence Children’s Music Ministry. We invite children in grades K–8 to sing with us throughout the year! Our choirs lead music at parish liturgies and prepare special music for Christmas, Easter, and other feast days. Along the way, children grow in faith, build confidence, make lasting friendships, and use their voices to praise God. Our choirs include Cherub Choir (Grades K–2), Carol Choir (Grades 3–5), and Cantare Choir (Grades 6–8). Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays: Grades K–5 at 6:00 PM, and Grades 6–8 at 7:00 PM.
Register your child (ongoing). We look forward to welcoming your family for another year of singing, worship, and friendship! For more information, contact Michele Wright at childrenschoir@saintlaw.org.
Be A Catholic Influencer!
Do you have a heart for sharing the love of God? Our parish is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to serve as catechists (including for Bridge [special needs program]), classroom helpers, Core Teams, and Peer Leaders for the upcoming Faith Formation year. You don't need to be an expert—just a person of faith willing to grow alongside our youth. Training, lesson plans, and support are provided. Deepen your own relationship with Jesus while handing on our 2,000-year-old traditions! To learn more, contact Juan or Elizabeth, or click here for more information
MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!
Gwinnett County is recognized as one of the four most diverse counties in the United States, making our parish and community's experience especially valuable in helping advance Catholic research and understanding. The two surveys linked below are part of a doctoral research study examining how Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic institutions support the integration of migrants in selected U.S. communities. Participation consists of completing a brief online questionnaire. We recognize that migration and immigration can be personal and sometimes sensitive topics; all responses are confidential, and participants are encouraged to share only what they are comfortable sharing. All parishioners are encouraged to participate in the main survey. Parishioners who have migrated to the United States are also asked to complete the second survey to share their unique experience. Thank you in advance for your participation!
