October is the Month of the Holy Rosary
The Rosary is a weapon against sin, temptation, and the powers of hell. We, the Church on earth, are the Church militant, fighting every day to get to heaven, with God’s grace. How do we fight? Not with physical arms, but by imitating the virtuous life of Christ and His Blessed Mother. We cannot win on our own; we need God. Mary is often called the New Eve and she is depicted crushing the head of the snake in Genesis. Asking her to intercede for us is a powerful prayer for our own battles against temptation and sin. Friday Morning Study Group
Starting September 18, adults are welcome to join on Friday mornings in Johnson Hall from 10 AM to 12 Noon to participate in Foundations of Faith: A Journey through the Catechism of the Catholic Church. This video series is meant to help adults know and live out the teachings of the catholic faith especially given the current world we live in.
