Pastor's Corner

My dear parish family,

This Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday! With gratitude and joy, the Church celebrates the gift of God’s mercy as the principal fruit of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Divine Mercy Sunday is an invitation to consider the significance and importance of God’s mercy, manifested especially in the the Risen Christ appeared to his apostles, he commissioned them to become instruments of His mercy: Whose sins you forgive are forgiven (John 20:23). I pray that we rediscover the value of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and try to go to confession soon, so that God’s loving mercy can restore us to his grace.

Congratulations to all those who came into full communion with the Church this Easter through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. It was a joy to celebrate with them and their families as they became an integral part of our parish and family of faith. Let’s continue to pray for them.

To all those who worked hard to ensure that the entire Lenten season and the events of Holy Week were deeply spiritual and beautiful, thank you. To our parish staff and ministries that came together to support this effort: lectors, ushers, greeters, sacristans, altar servers, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, choirs, safety and security, parking, photography, AV, art and environment, seminarians, deacons and all other volunteers, thank you very much. It truly takes a village; and what a blessing you are to our parish community. We ask God’s blessings upon you!

Please note that we shall celebrate First Holy Communion on Friday & Saturday, May 2 & 3, 2025. We pray that, as these children receive our Lord in the Eucharist for the first time, it may be a life-changing moment for them and truly an encounter of grace.

God bless you and see you at Mass!

Fr. Henry
