Keeping Lent

Daily Mass is celebrated Monday-Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

Stations of the Cross are prayed on the Fridays of Lent at 6:00 p.m. in English and
7:30 p.m. in Spanish, beginning this Friday, February 16.

Abstinence from meat on Fridays: Canon 1251 specifies that Catholics refrain from eating meat on Fridays, as an act of penitence. In the United States, Catholics are permitted to substitute another penance outside of the season of Lent. During Lent, however, all Catholics are obliged not to eat meat on Fridays.

Fish Fries by the St. Lawrence Knights of Columbus (Council #13052) are offered every Friday in Lent, 5:30-8:00 p.m. in the gym. The Ladies of St. Lawrence will be offering their delicious homemade desserts for sale.

Confessions are on Saturdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Our Lent Penance Service is Tuesday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m. Plan now to make that evening an important part of your Lenten renewal! Father John and Father Mark will also assist in the penance services of 16 neighboring parishes and missions this Lent; if you are unable to attend ours, you are encouraged to join them at a neighboring
parish.

Our Sister Parish in Haiti is a special penitential work of mercy that we can undertake
together during Lent. On Ash Wednesday and on each of the Sundays of Lent,
boxes to receive your monetary gifts for our sister parish will be located in the narthex
following Mass.
